*Practice nurse urgently required in Bristol*
*excellent pay salary part time hours*

Maternity Period July 2018 to June 2019
3 days per week x 8hrs = 24 hours total (o/t available)

Salary: approx. £30,000pa (pro rata) depending on skills/experience

Dream Medical are working with a busy surgery in South Bristol. As a teaching and training practice we are looking for an experienced practice nurse to cover a year long maternity period.
This Surgery has a clinical team of 8 GPs, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 2 Nurses, 2 HCAs and a Phlebotomist.
Also this surgery strives to create a healthy team atmosphere and encourage staff to meet at lunchtime, attend practice meetings and take part in social events, and are therefore, looking for a team player with a passion for delivering good quality patient care.
You will obviously have a current NMC registration and experience in working within a GP surgery is essential. A flexible approach to working is required, especially to cover early morning or evening sessions.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• To provide high quality patient care
• Participate in setting standards for care and auditing clinical outcomes
• Perform the administration and education of all types of Immunisations including travel, seasonal vaccinations, childhood
• Able to provide health education advice around diet/smoking/lifestyle/sexual health
• Assist the Clinical Services Manager in the maintenance of equipment and stock levels relating to patient care.
• Undertake the collection, storage and despatch of pathological specimens including intravenous blood samples, swabs, smears etc and ensure the cleanliness of any equipment so used. Perform any investigatory procedures requested by other clinicians.
• The post-holder will assist in the implementation and management of appropriate health and safety and infection control policies, as defined in the practice Health & Safety policy, Health & Safety manual, Infection Control policy and other published procedures.
• Support the equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers and colleagues
• Accountable to own professional development and performance and act as a role model to others
